Level-density parameters in superheavy nuclei
نویسندگان
چکیده
We systematically study the nuclear level densities of superheavy nuclei, including odd systems, using single-particle energies obtained with Woods-Saxon potential diagonalization. applied minimization over many deformation parameters for global minima-ground states, and ``imaginary water flow'' technique on a many-deformation energy grid saddle points, nonaxial shapes. The density are calculated by fitting results standard Fermi gas expression. total shell correction dependencies level-density parameter analyzed at ground state point. These compared phenomenological approach. As shown, this expression should be modified especially small excitation energy. ratio point to that is shown crucial survival probability heavy nucleus.

متن کاملSuperheavy nuclei in relativistic effective Lagrangian model
Isotopic and isotonic chains of superheavy nuclei are analyzed to search for spherical double shell closures beyond Z = 82 and N = 126 within the new effective field theory model of Furnstahl, Serot, and Tang for the relativistic nuclear many-body problem. We take into account several indicators to identify the occurrence of possible shell closures, such as two-nucleon separation energies, two-...

متن کاملIsomers and Enhanced Stability of Superheavy Nuclei
Following the early discovery of two-quasiparticle, high-K isomers in Fm (Z =100) and No (Z = 102) by Ghiorso et al. [1], a number of spectroscopic studies were carried out in the Fermium region, which have different sensitivities both in terms of decay branches (e.g. decay, decay, fission, etc.) and lifetime ranges. There has been continuing activity in addressing the complex question of w...
